“European Day”
HE 9 May 2013 The 7th COMPREHENSIVE INSTITUTE “G.A.COSTANZO” of Syracuse celebrated
Many visitors (parents, journalists, students ..) and equally numerous, interesting and educational activities carried out by the students of all three types of schools to emphasize the event: news of the day European Union, on the European Parliament, the Member States of the European Union; drama, recitations, hymns, songs, realization of flags, costumes, billboards, objects-souvenirs, musical instruments, representation of dances, of ballets, preparation of dishes, participation in the Contest: “Poetry for the United Europe”, participation in the Contest: “A slogan for Europe”
They performed in a theater:
• Children with Sections V and II Nursery School, expertly guided respectively by ins. A. Guccione and L.Fargione and ins.C. Flower and G. Fontana.
• The students of the classes IID, IV A, C III, V-VB, VC Primary School, prepared by inss. S. Gallo, L. Spicuglia, A. Buckwheat, D. Daniel, M. Butera, R. Life, Raffa, L. Badame
• The students of the Secondary School degree, led by Professor A.Aleardi, who “told” in French the history of Europe, proving to be ready for the certification exam required by linguistic DELF A2 that will support the next week.
• “The little poets” of the poetry workshop, edited by A. referent Buckwheat, who recited the poems written during the competition, “Poetry for the United Europe”, accompanied on the piano by the master prof. G. Mingo.
Particularly exciting time of the inauguration of the two laboratories set up thanks to European funding, the Language Laboratory “The world in a classroom” B-1.B-FESR04_POR_SICILIA-2011-1709 and Music workshop “Music teacher!” CODE B 1 FESR04_POR_SICILIA C-2011-1754., who received the blessing of Father Santino Fortunato, parish priest of the neighborhood “Mother of God”.
Finally, throughout the day at the language lab were shown the work done as part of the Comenius project RREV Rediscover the Real European Values code 2011-1-RO1-COM06-14665-5, a multilateral project in which the school is committed for two years along with nine other schools in Spain, France, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Estonia, Turkey, Romania and Norway.
Wide satisfaction was expressed by the head teacher Roberta Guzzardi who commented “Thanks to initiatives like this and dissemination of all actions taken by the European Community funding (PON, ERDF, Comenius) our children and their parents recognize Europe more close and they perceive the valuable support. ”
